Corporate Sponsors List Update
Hello everyone,

In the past couple of days, there has been a little confusion regarding the list of Corporate Sponsors on our website. The way the list was presented, there was no distinction between those businesses or individuals who had been contacted and who had actually made a donation. I have redone the Sponsors list and split it up into two sections.

The first section is the “public” section that can be accessed by anyone visiting the Relay’s website. This is the existing Sponsors page. This page has been redone to now ONLY display Sponsors once their donation has been received. This page will also show their “Level” (bronze, silver, gold,  etc.). If applicable, a link to their website and/or their Business Logo will be displayed.

The second section is a “private” section that can only be accessed by Teams utilizing the “Team & Committee Login”. This second list shows ALL Sponsors that have been contacted, even if they have not donated. This page is the page that really needs to be checked prior to your asking for Sponsorships.

By splitting up the Sponsors list, businesses who have been contacted, but may not have donated, won’t have this published on the website. It adds an extra layer of privacy for them while rightfully recognizing those who have actually donated.

The downside to this is that every team who needs to access the Sponsor List MUST register for online access. The Registration form is available here. PLEASE get this back to me ASAP so I can get a login setup for your team!

If you do not have access to a Fax Machine, please e-mail me your team name as well as the username and password you would like to use and I’ll go ahead and set you up. Then, just bring the actual form to me at February’s Team Captain meeting.

Attached is the revised Guidelines to follow to ensure businesses are only asked once.

This is the first year we have done Corporate Sponsorships with these new guidelines as well as the first year we’ve done this online. Please bear with us as we overcome the little hiccups along the way. If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns regarding the changes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Thank you and good luck with your fundraising!

What is Relay For Life? Facebook Page!

Our Signature Activity
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled, overnight experience you'll never forget. Relay mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. Teams of 8-15 participants seek contributions prior to Relay. Then, at the event, they gather with tents and sleeping bags to camp out at local high schools, parks, or fairgrounds and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Relay brings together friends, family, businesses, hospitals, schools, places of worship... people from all walks of life! Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during this overnight event... because cancer never sleeps.
